My 2019 Book List + Reading Goal: Plus FREE Book Resources to Help You Read More. Hey Friend, do you want to read more books this year? Here is my 2019 book list plus lots of free resources to help you read more books this year!

Hey Friends,

Today, I am incredibly excited to share my 2019 book list and reading goal with all of you!

Every year I am always so excited to set a new reading goal. Setting a reading goal each year is the #1 reason why I manage to read so many books in a given year. My reading goal is always the one goal I know I will complete by the end of the year! (I use the free Goodreads app to help me keep track of my goal and the books I read.)

I know there are a lot of book lovers following my blog, so I thought it would be fun to share the books I plan to read this year. I’ve never put together a “to-read list” quite like this one, so I am excited to see how well it works for me. (In all reality, I am sure I won’t read all of these books – but I am sure going to try!)

This list was incredibly fun to put together and I’m excited to see how many of these books I am able to check off the list by the end of 2019. I’ve divided all of these books into categories – so feel free to jump ahead to the categories that interest you the most. I am sure this list will morph and change as we go through 2019. Time changes things. A book that feels like a priority right now, may not be a priority in five months. That’s why I am excited to give this book list a try and see how it works for me. If it works great, then I will make another to-read list next year. If it’s a complete flop for me, I will try something different next year. Time will tell. 🙂

What Is My Numerical Reading Goal?

Last year, I challenged myself to read 50 books. I barely scraped by, but I did manage to complete the goal before January 1st. However, looking back over 2018, I do not feel like I spent that much time reading . I know I spent a lot of time cooking, cleaning, babysitting, listening to podcasts, watching movies with my husband, and lots and lots of blogging. I know without a doubt I could have read more books.

This will probably be a busier year for us, but I want to raise the bar and challenge myself to be a better time manager and make a better effort to read this year. So, drumroll please…

My 2019 Reading Goal = 60 Books

I already have 52 books on my 2019 reading list and I am sure I am going to add more. Not to mention there are several books on my shelf I should re-read. #booknerdproblems 😉

  1. One of the books I am excited about reading soon is The Life-Giving Table by Sally Clarkson. I really enjoyed her Life-Giving Home book so I think I’ll really enjoy it. I also just started a book called Cello by William Pleeth, with tips + helpful advice. It is SO good! I haven’t really made a reading list but I am sure I will find some delightful books along the way in 2019!

    1. I am excited about The Life-Giving Table as well! I just started reading Book Girl which is by Sarah Clarkson. Her writing style is unique but I like it so far.
I am so glad you’re enjoying the Cello book!
This is my first year creating a book list like this – I normally read whatever suits my fancy, but I think this list is going to help me be more intentional about the books I choose. We shall see. 🙂
