May Goals: A Peek Into My Powersheets

Happy May, Sweet Friends!

I honestly cannot believe we are already in May. April seemed to fly by so quickly. I am excited for May though – it’s the month my husband and I finally begin traveling for deputation and even get to enjoy a mini vacation with my family. I also have a fun sister-date planned with my sister-in-law and my husband and I have trips planned to Virginia, Connecticut, and Philadelphia.

In spite of all the traveling I hope to make some progress on my personal goals as well. (Yes, I expect it will be a full month, but hopefully an fun and adventurous one too!)

It didn’t take me long to plan my goals for this month. With the helpful prep work in my Powersheets each month, it’s pretty easy to figure out my goals and priorities.

If you’re wondering what in the world Powersheets are… well it’s just a fancy goal-setting planner that helps me prioritize and plan out my top goals for the year and each month. It’s one of the best purchases I’ve ever made and I am so happy at the end of every month when it’s time to work on my Powersheets again. You can find out more about Powersheets right here. Monthly Goals:

May Goals: A Peek Into My Powersheets | Goal Setting | How to Set Goals | Monthly Goals

Plan and Order Our Display – We have our first official meetings this month and for some reason we’ve been procrastinating on our display table! Mostly because neither of us are exactly sure what we want. We have just a few weeks to finalize what would like and pull it together. Are we last minute people? Yes, sometimes! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Plan Meals for Family Vacation – We are going on a mini vacation with my family this month and Adam and I are in charge of meals for one day. I need to plan what I’m going to make and what we will need to buy.

Plant our Seeds! – I had this on my goals list for last month, but I soon realized that April is way to early to plant seeds in Pennsylvania. It’s finally getting warmer and the grass is growing again. We’ve been working slowly on our yard and next up is the garden!

Write and Schedule All Blog Posts for May – I have been struggling with writing and scheduling my blog posts ahead of time. However, this month it’s crucial that I get all my blog posts written up and scheduled ahead of time so I don’t need to worry about blogging while we travel.

Finish my Spring Cleaning – I made a lot of headway with my spring cleaning in April, but deep cleaning an entire house is a much bigger project than I realized. I am starting to think I may not be done with spring cleaning until summer! But that’s okay. I just hope to tackle one room or section of the house each week until it’s all clean!

Make a Packing List – I stopped writing packing lists long ago. However, since my husband and I have three trips planned right after the other, I think it’s best to put together a packing list for myself so that I know what to pack so we can easily come home, throw everything in the wash and pack it up again!

Read 5 Books – Even though we will be traveling a lot in the later part of the month, I hope to read approximately five books this month. I will probably listen to a couple audio books to help me reach my goal.

Finish my Puzzle – This month I started putting together this adorable bunny jigsaw puzzle for the third time! I really enjoy doing a jigsaw puzzle from time to time – especially when I can listen to audio books or podcasts while I work. It shouldn’t take me long to finish this one, but I added it to my list nonetheless.

Weekly Goals:

Write and Schedule 1-3 Blog Posts – If I can write and schedule at least 1-3 blog posts each week, I will be able to finish all my blogging for the month of May and even get ahead for June! This week I’ve already finished two!!

Finish 1-2 BooksMaybe I’ll read more than five books this month? ๐Ÿ˜‰

Spring Clean 1-2 Rooms – My goal is one room a week, but if I can fit in two rooms per week before our trip then I’ll be almost done!

Journal Once a Week – I have a feeling there will be a lot of fun things to record in my journal this month!

Listen to an Audio Book – My husband and I have been listening to Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus on Audible and so far, it has been so good. It’s a long book and we still have about 5 hours to go. We should be able to finish it this month while we travel. I am also hoping to listen to a few audio books on my own at home when I do my cooking and cleaning.

Daily Goals:

  • Bible time and prayer (I’ve been using this prayer journal).
  • Drink water & take vitamins.
  • Exercise.
  • Work on one of my monthly goals.
