Happy June, My Friends!

It’s hard to believe we are now in the first month of summer. May went so incredibly fast (it was like a blur) but it was still a lovely month! Thankfully, June is a little less busy so I plan to enjoy this month and use the “down-time” to catch up on blog work, reading, and housework.

Looking back over May, I didn’t reach all my goals – but the things that truly mattered did get done. We also made some amazing memories (more on that later this week!) ๐Ÿ˜‰

Some of my June goals are similar to last month, but here’s what’s on my Powersheets “tending list” for the month of June!

My June Goals (A Peek Into My Powersheets)

Monthly Action Items

Blog Ahead 1-2 Months – We will be traveling again in July, so I will be writing some blog posts in advance. Most of my blog posts for May were written and scheduled out ahead of time and it was a life-saver while traveling!

Edit my Editorial Calendar – There are so many blog posts I need to write, want to write, and SHOULD write. I keep an editorial calendar to keep track of everything, but it needs updated!

Do a Liver Cleanse – Just today (June 4th) I started a 4-day liver cleanse from the book WomanCode by Alissa Vitti. With all our traveling and eating out, a little cleanse/reset to get my body back on track is certainly in order! This is a gentle, food-based liver cleanse that’s also very simple. Basically, I’m eating a fruit salad for breakfast, fish, brown rice (or quinoa), and greens for lunch, and a broth-y, veggie-filled soup for supper. (If you’ve never heard of WomanCode by Alissa Vitti I would encourage my fellow adult females to check it out. It’s chockfull of helpful information on women’s health, hormones, and more!). I do not agree with everything, but the information about women’s health is invaluable!

Go Thrift Shopping with Friends – I don’t really need to explain this one do I? Each month I go on a couple thrifting excursions and this month it’s time to do it with some friends!

Catch up With Family and Friends – This will be done primarily on the phone this month!

Purchase Father’s Day Gifts – This is also YOUR friendly reminder that Father’s Day is just a couple Sundays away! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Order More Oils – Some of my essential oil bottles are officially empty! I have a Visa gift card I’ve been saving just for the purpose of restocking my essential oil supply. The hard part will be deciding which ones I should get and which ones have to wait till the next time!

Spring Clean Bedroom and Kitchen – Unfortunately, I still haven’t finished my spring cleaning. I’m not sure why I find deep cleaning such an overwhelming task? Much of our house has been “spring-cleaned” already, so this month I’m going to focus on cleaning the rest of the kitchen and our bedroom. Once those two rooms are done, I think I will be happy and leave it at that.

  1. Essential oils smell nice. I love them especially the lavender and peppermint.๐Ÿ˜Šโ™ฅ๏ธ

    1. Lavender and mint smell so lovely! I also like pine (near Christmas especially), tea tree, and eucalyptus (which goes wonderfully with spearmint.) Orange and lime are good too, if they smell right, but sometimes they don’t smell very citrusy.

  2. June is so crazy for my family that I’m leaving my schedule open so I can jump in and help anyone who gets overambitious. I do hope to get some driving practice in, though, because I really need it!

Thanks for the Father’s Day reminder. Days like that seem to sneak up on me before I know it.

I’m glad to see you persevering with the Spring cleaning, Rebekah! It’s so encouraging to me.

    Have an awesome June!

  3. My baby girl, Lydia Grace was born this morning. She weighed 7 lbs.2 oz, and 20 inches long. Please pray for her. She has problems with her lungs.

  4. Essential oils are good for your health. My favorite essential oils are orange, lemon, lavender, and peppermint. They smell so nice.Thank you so much for sharing this.My goal for this month is to learn to drive.Have a wonderful month.God bless.

  5. I always need to be “spring cleaning.” It really does seem so overwhelming, doesn’t it? I feel like I get about one room done every two months, and then by the time I’m done in the next area, the last one is messed up again. I’m doing a little more de-cluttering than usual while deep cleaning at the same time, so hopefully that helps it stay clean for longer… lol
