Hey Friends,

When I think of someone who is radiant – I think of someone who is vibrant and truly glowing.

I don’t know about you – but I really want to be the kind of woman that glows from the inside out!

Today I have complied 10 things that will make you glow. Some of these things are easy to add to our daily life – others will take a bit more work, but each one will add a little bit of glow to your personality and your life.

Are you ready? Let’s get started!

10 Things That Will Make You Glow

1. Time with God

Daily time with God is so essential, and yes, it can help you glow from the inside out! When we spend time with the Lord and His Word, it brings peace and calm to our hearts. When we live in the Spirit we display His fruits in our life (Galatians 6).

Time with God may not sound like something that should be on this list – but trust me, it’s at the very top for a reason! When we neglect our time with God, we start living life in our own strength…. and it’s exhausting. We need God! When our hearts are in tune with God and His Word, our lives will display a peace and joy that passes all understanding. That my Friend, is the best kind of glow we can possibly have!

Ready, Set, Glow!

Here’s what I recommend to help you get started:

  • A time and place for your time with God (Example: 8:00am every morning in the recliner.)
  • A King James Bible – I use and love this Creative Bible!
  • A notebook – to jot down verses + your thoughts, prayers, etc.
  • Colorful pens or pencils I use and love these pens!

2. Real, Genuine, Joy

Joy is contagious… it bubbles over and runs into the lives of others.

When a woman chooses to have joy, she glows – and it’s a visible to all who see and know her. But how do we have true joy?

  • Joy is a choice – it’s something we have to choose and keep on choosing. (Philippians 4:4)
  • Joy comes from the Lord – we find true joy in the presence of our Savior. Remember, we must be spending time with God!
  • Joy is a fruit of the Spirit – when we are walking in the Spirit we will have joy.
  • Joy is dependent on the Lord – happiness is dependent on circumstances. Happiness comes and goes… but we will never lack joy if we are looking to the Savior.

To become a woman who truly glows, joy is necessary!

Here are some tips to help you live a life filled with true, genuine, joy:

3. Your Smile

A smile lights up your up your face and changes your whole countenance. The lack of a smile can make you appear moody and grumpy.

We’ve all been gifted with a unique smile – make sure you use it!

Ready, Set, Glow!

Does smiling feel unnatural for you? Here are some ways to get used to it!

  • Practice smiling in front of the mirror. It sounds corny but just give it a try!
  • Practice good oral hygiene. Brush your teeth and floss!
  •  Make it your goal to smile at everyone you meet!

4. Caring for Your Temple

If you are a born again believer in Jesus Christ, then the Holy Spirit resides in your heart. Your body is HIS Temple! In order to truly glow from the inside out, you and I must take care of our physical bodies.

God set an example for us in the beginning – He created the world in six days, and He rested on the seventh day. (Genesis 1)

Our bodies were created to work and rest. Are you moving your body on a daily basis? Are you getting the right amount of exercise?

Your body needs exercise to function properly. Moving your body gets  your heart pumping and your blood flowing. Exercise also increases strength, builds muscle, sheds excess weight, and increases your mood!Do You Want to Be a Woman Who Glows_ Click here to find out how!

In additions to physical work and activity, God also created the Sabbath for a reason! Our bodies were made to work, but we also need a day to rest! Is your body is getting the adequate rest that it needs? Are you actually taking a Sabbath day of rest… or do you cram all seven days with busyness and activity?

We need to move our bodies and allow them to rest so that we can truly glow from the inside out!

Ready, Set, Glow!

Here are some tips to help you get moving, plus get the rest you need!

  • Set a bed time – seriously, your body needs to rest! Discipline yourself to go to bed at a specific time each night.
  • Move a little every day – full blown workouts may not be your thing, but you can still move your body a little bit every day! Go for a walk, take the stairs, jog around the neighborhood… get your body moving!
  • Remember the Sabbath – make sure you have at least one day of rest throughout your week (preferably Sunday!). God designed the Sabbath for a reason – remember it!

5. Water, Water, Water!

I’ve noticed when I take the time to drink enough water, my eyes looks bright and healthy, my skin looks dewy and glow-y and I feel better!

Our organs need plenty of water so that they can function properly. Water helps to replenish and moisturize the skin – which is why drinking water helps you glow!

Ready, Set, Glow!

Here are some tips to help you drink more water and glow!

  • Invest in a water bottle you lovelike this pink one!
  • Keep track of your water intake – I love using planner stickers that help me keep track of my daily water intake!
  • Flavor it – plain water can be boring, try adding lemon or lime juice and some stevia, or give these water drops a try.

6. Eating Healthy Meals

Another way to care for your Temple is eating healthy and nutritious meals. Your body needs the nutrition it can glean from healthy foods.

Are you getting enough fruits and veggies? What about foods high in fiber and protein? Are you feeding your body what it really needs?

We all know that we need to eat healthier – but knowing and doing are two completely different things! Sometimes knowing what to eat can be kind of confusing… that’s why it’s super helpful to read about health and nutrition. Here are some of my favorite healthy food books and resources:

I believe it’s  important to have a balanced approach to healthy eating  and reading a wide variety of books can give you balanced view point.

Ready, Set, Glow!

Here are some simple tips to help you eat healthier meals!

  • Do you research – when you learn what’s healthy for you and what’s not, you will be more motivated to avoid the bad stuff!
  • Plan ahead – plan out your meals ahead of time so that you can make healthier choices!
  • Don’t buy junk food – if it’s not in the house, you’re not going to eat it!

7. Embracing a Feminine Style

There’s something really attractive about a woman who is unashamed to dress in a modest and feminine way. It shows the world that she accepts the way God made her and delights to honor her God by dressing in appropriate clothing.

Even if you’re not a girly-girl, you can still learn how to dress in modest and feminine clothing. I go into much more detail about modest and feminine clothing in my e-book, Radiant Modesty. You can get a copy of your own right here.

We all have things that we love doing… are you making time for the things that you love? God gave us all unique talents and abilities, our hobbies and passions will vary from person to person.

What are you passionate about? What sets your soul on fire?

When you find things that you love, and then take the time to actually do them you will glow from the inside out with the passion of doing the wonderful things you love.

Ready, Set, Glow!

Are you ready to make time for the things you love? Here are some tips:

  • Read a book on your favorite topic – what do you love? Research books on your favorite topic, buy one, and treat yourself by making time to read it.
  • Do something you love every day – even if it’s just 5 minutes, spend a little bit of time doing what you love!

9. Working Towards a Goal

Do you have any goals in life?

Goals provide us with direction, something to reach for, and a purpose. Setting goals helps you know where you are headed. Having goals and reaching them can inspire you to reach for bigger things.

Just imagine completing a little goal, and a big goal. How would you feel? Accomplished? Happy? Exhilarated?

Working towards goals and accomplishing them will make you glow, simply for the reason that they give you direction and a sense of purpose.

What kind of goals do you think God would want you to set? Where do you want to be in the next five years? Think about all aspects of your life… spiritually, emotionally, physically, etc. Set goals for each area of your life and start working towards those goals!

Ready, Set, Glow!

Here are some tips to help you start working towards your goals!

  • Make a goal list – use some notebook paper, a computer document, ot the goal sheet printable from the Daily Glow Kit to write out your goals.
  • Brainstorm – think of all the things that you could do to reach your goals, write them down.
  • Get to work – each day, do something small to work toward your goals!

10. Choosing Kindness

Have you ever noticed someone that just seems to radiate with kindness?

Of course you have!

We notice the people who are kind. In fact, we love them, we want to be around them, and we appreciate them for the way they make us feel.

A woman who expresses kindness to others is a woman who glows. We must choose to be kind and love others the way Christ has loved us.

Ready, Set, Glow!

Here are some tips for choosing kindness every day…

  • Smile at the people you meet – seriously, it’s a simple act of kindness and we can all do it!
  • Listen when people talk – most of us are better talkers… but learn how to be a good listener. Focus on other people when they talk.
  • Encourage others – if someone you know is down, encourage them! Send a kind text, a note, or simply offer a warm hug. Just encourage other people!

Final Thoughts

All of these things will make you glow! However, none of these things are easy to choose, or easy to live out on a daily basis – trust me, I know!
