Dear Friend,
Are you in a waiting season right now?
Most of us are waiting for something. Maybe you are anxiously waiting for a new job, waiting for a relationship, waiting for an answer from God, waiting for your wedding day, waiting to get pregnant, or waiting for the birth of a new baby. Whatever you are waiting for… God wants to use this time in your life.
God uses the waiting seasons in our lives for many different purposes (some of which we won’t know until we get to Heaven). Here are some of the ways we know God uses waiting seasons in our lives…
God uses waiting seasons to…
- Fulfill His time-table.
- Carry out His plan for our life.
- Prepare us for what’s coming.
- Strengthen us.
- Refine us.
- Build our faith and trust in Him.
- Teach us patience.
Even though we know these things already, waiting on God’s perfect plan and timing can be a true test of our faith. It can be down right difficult to wait on the Lord.
Today, I want to share a list of Scripture references that can strengthen and encourage your heart as you go through the unique waiting seasons in your life. Many of these verses have been a help and encouragement to me in the past and present – and I know they will help me in future waiting seasons as well.
After you read through this list, I would encourage you to go through your Bible and highlight these verses, make notes, copy them down in a notebook, or jot them on sticky notes and place them where you will see them often. These verses can (and will!) encourage your heart as you meditate on them and “write them upon the table of thine heart.” (Prov. 7:3)
Let these verses encourage and strengthen your heart! β₯
