Hey Friends,

I don’t know about you… but I have a really hard time choosing what to wear for Wednesday night church services. It’s not a formal service, and yet it’s still appropriate to dress up a little bit. I never know quite where to draw the line between too dressy or too casual.

Can you relate?

Since my husband and I are currently helping in the children’s program, I’ve been leaning towards more casual Wednesday night outfits. If we were in the service I would dress up more.

This past Wednesday was cold and windy with a chance of snow. (So much for spring right?) So, I decided to dress in layers with a warm jean skirt, sweater, and a scarf. Here’s the modest, semi-casual, warm and comfy outfit I chose to wear. 🙂

Outfit Details:

Sweater >>> Thrift Shop Find (I can’t remember exactly where I got it!)

Denim Skirt >>> Apostolic Clothing (I don’t normally shop on here but I won a gift card in an Instagram giveaway!)

Shoes >>> Payless Shoes

Scarf >>> A Christmas gift from my sister-in-law ♥

My favorite part of this outfit is definitely the scarf. I love cheetah prints and my sister-in-law knew that when she got it for me! I actually haven’t been able to find a lot of pieces to pair with this scarf, so I was really happy when I realized how well this sweater and scarf compliment each other!

Lately I’ve been trying to get more creative with the clothing that I already own, while scouting out new things to purchase in the future.

I’ve realized that I can come up with “new’ outfits simply by “shopping” in my own closet and putting together different combinations that I’ve never worn. I’ve also been using my Modest Outfits board on Pinterest for ideas and inspiration. Be sure to check it out and follow along!

Are you wondering why I am posting a modest outfit post? Several weeks ago I shared a reader survey with some questions about my blog’s content. I was surprised and pleased to hear that many of you requested for more blog posts relating to modesty. I am happy to comply because modest fashion is something I love ♥. You will probably see a few modesty posts a month, and coming up in May, I will be having a “modesty month” where we will talk a lot about modesty and what it looks like for Christian young women – as well as how to go about it!
