Hey Friends,

Is it spring yet? The last time I checked my calendar, it is Spring… but it was snowing just two days ago! Apparently the weather hasn’t gotten the memo, but I’m going to pretend that it feels like spring anyways! πŸ™‚

Today I want to share 4 modest outfit ideas for Spring with you. I am really excited about some of these outfits (especially the floral dress from today’s featured image!). At the end of this post please leave me a comment and tell me which outfit is your favorite!

4 Modest Outfit Ideas for Spring

Outfit #1: Navy Blue Floral + Khaki (Date Night Outfit)

I love this outfit because the top was a Valentine’s Day gift from my hubby. He surprised me with a gift card to Kohl’s, and then took me shopping as a part of our Valentine’s Day date. Isn’t he sweet?Β  β™₯ I love pairing Navy Blue with Khaki… although khaki skirts frustrate me because they wrinkle soooo easily! Unfortunately the top is completely sleeveless, so I paired it with a blue sweater to make it modest. One more thing… It’s hard to tell from the photo, but the shoes are glittery gold flats from Zulily. πŸ™‚

I wore this outfit to go on a supper date with Adam, and then we went to a special church service with some family members.

Outfit #2: Black Maxi Dress + Bright Scarf (Wednesday Night Outfit)

I totally didn’t realize this until later, but every part of this outfit comes from Walmart. That is definitely not typical, but it just happened that way!

The black dress is obviously for warm weather because it has short sleeves, but the black color just isn’t that spring-y. It’s also a little snug so I like to pair this dress with a scarf or sweater. The bright colors in this scarf really pop up against the black.

Unfortunately, the Wednesday night that I chose to wear this outfit it was rather cold – I had to change the shoes and add a sweater! Hurry up Spring weather!

Outfit #3: Pink and White Stripes + Denim Skirt (Casual Outfit)

This outfit was a last minute Wednesday night outfit, but it’s definitely more on the casual side. The denim skirt came from a local store named Good’s, and the top was a thrift shop find (somewhere!). I love the brightness of the pink and white… definitely two colors that are appropriate for spring! The hoodie (which was much needed!) came from Target, but I rarely shop there anymore – I don’t agree with the things that Target supports.

Outfit #4: Blue Floral Dress (Sunday Church Outfit)

I absolutely love this dress! It was supposed to be my Easter dress, but unfortunately I had to exchange sizes so it didn’t come in time. This dress came from a seller on Amazon and comes in several different colors and patterns – I just really love wearing blue! Unfortunately, it’s made out of snug-fitting material, so I had to order one size up, and this sweater also helps conceal the snugness. It’s a super comfy dress – the only downside is the snugness… it’s definitely not the best idea to wear this dress alone!

Paired with a sweater and some heels -it’s too long for my shortness πŸ˜‰ – this dress makes a very spring-y and modest outfit! It’s definitely my favorite outfit on this post!

Final Thoughts

  • Most clothing these days needs a bit of help to make it more modest. During the spring time, light sweaters and scarves really help!

  1. Hi Rebakah, I think my favorite is #4 as well! I have an ivory floral dress similar to that, which I love, and they are so comfy, but I do agree that they should be worn with cardigans. Also, I have that same exact scarf pictured in #2! So we have matching scarves. ☺️

    1. That’s awesome! You got to love Walmart right? My mom actually bought it because it came in a pack… she didn’t want that one so she gave it to me πŸ™‚
Yes! I think it’s still chilly just about everywhere!

      1. Yes! I also love the dress you had on with it, but do you think they still sell that? I’ve been looking to get a black dress so I can wear it in most seasons.

        1. Hmm… I don’t know that they do. I’m such a thrift shop junkie that I don’t even think I got it at Walmart – I just know that’s where it came from originally. Your best bet would be to look for it online. Walmart carries a lot of things online that they don’t sell in stores. Hope you can find it!

  2. Haha, It’s already warmed up here (I live down south) and we’re enjoying many days in the 70s! πŸ˜‰ One day recently I believe it even reached 80! :O

I loved these outfits! It’s hard to pick favorites, but I do love the floral dress. πŸ™‚ It’s so elegant but looks like it’d be really comfortable. Don’t you just love dresses like that? Easy and feminine!

What curling iron do you use for your hair? Your curls were absolute perfection in that first photo! I have a curling wand and a curling iron, but their barrels are pretty small and don’t give me big enough curls to achieve that look :/ Also do you struggle with frizzy/crazy hair? If so, how do you combat that and make your hair smooth? I don’t know why I’m asking you all these hair questions when this is an outfit post… I’ve just been curious about getting answers and thought I’d ask xD

    1. Hey Grace,
I’m jealous! We had a couple hot days last week but then it turned cold again – with snow even!
Yes, comfy, feminine dresses are the best! I also really like long dresses because they make me feel taller, and super lady-like. Funny how that works!

I use a one inch Kor curling wand. I bought a set that came with three attachments and a flat iron… but I normally just use the smallest barrel. I learned that if you use a small barrel but use larger sections of hair, the curls will be bigger like that. I also brush them out a little bit too. I couldn’t find the exact set (it was expensive but I had gift cards) but here’s a curling wand that’s basically the same: https://amzn.to/2JXQr0V

I do get frizzy hair sometimes, but I usually just try to keep it under control with some hairspray.
I don’t mind the questions at all!

  5. I love these outfits! I can see you like navy + pink! πŸ˜‰
My go-to colors are gray + light blue. I really have been loving maxi skirts – they are so comfy!
I love your navy blue floral and khaki skirt. I need to find a skirt like that. πŸ™‚

    1. Thanks Tashia! Gray and light blue are really nice too – I like a lot of colors ☺
I love maxi skirts too – they are sooo comfy, as long as they arent the clingy ones! Yes, Khaki skirts are very versatile and nice to have – they just wrinkle too much!

  6. Hi Rebekah,

I absolutely love your khaki skirt. Where did you find it? And I just love how long and full your Jean skirt is. πŸ™‚
Your first outfit is my favorite. Where did you find the sweaters in the first and third pictures? My sister has the same exact dress in picture four. She doesn’t usually wear anything on top of it, but she did pair it with a cute hat for a tea party one time. At her college, it gets rather chilly there, and I think she must wear a sweater then. πŸ™‚

    Have a lovely day!
    Love in Christ,

    1. Hi Ashley,
I am so sorry that I am only responding to your comment now – some how it ended up in my spam folder and I have no idea why!
Anyways, the khaki skirt came from a thrift shop – you can often find skirts at second hand stores. And the sweater was a hand-me-down from someone at church. Sorry, I don’t buy too many new clothes! I love shopping and getting good deals second-hand. If I can find a good deal I buy things new.
      Rebekah

      1. Thanks! If you can’t get one, just let me know the brand : ) blessings! Your blog is always such an encouragement to me. I truly appreciate all the time you put into it!

  7. Weird little me, I wanted to ask if your hair is naturally straight or if you straighten it? I love all the outfits, but the last one is especially beautiful!

    1. Hi Belle, naturally, my hair is kind of straight with some odd waves here and there. So I usually straighten it if I want it really straight. I’m glad you like the outfits!

  8. Hi Rebekah! Love the black dress + bold scarf – pairings that pop make me happy. I’m wondering if you could do a future post about what it means to dress modestly? It’s something I’m curious about, and there is so much inormation out there that it’s a little overwhelming.

Ps it’s still chilly here, too. Still in the negatives! (Canada)

    1. Hi Hannah!
I am about to release an Ebook next week that is all about modesty – so it will cover that topic and much more! Also, May will be modesty month and I will be covering several different modesty topics here on the blog ☺

  9. Rebekah, please tell me where you bought that khaki skirt. I have looked everywhere and cannot find one like that one. I have no problem with the skirt getting wrinkled. I love to iron. Do you have any more photos of you in it? I love that outfit!! Thanks!

  10. Nice outfit ideas, and I love how you elevate the look with those accessories and like the cardigans and scarf! My fave is that last one! I was genuinely wondering though, if you’ve ever considered enhancing your graceful and outer God-given beauty by maybe wearing your skirts at just (or maybe even a little above) your waistline but OVER your blouse? So as not to completely hide the figure ghat differenciates from a Man. I just think it’d be much more flattering, like in the 3rd outfit for example so you don’t have that totally “loose top, loose bottom” look. I like how your facial features are so graceful, your beauty is no natural. So maybe accentuating the rest of your femenine factors to some degree would just uplift your overall look even moreπŸ€— It’s only my humble opinion, as I have personally started my journey on feeling graceful and womanly without being frumpy, nor immodestly flashy nor masculine, etc. And I’ve been realizing how much of my habits I just never really thought about lol!

  11. I love all your outfits! I think if I had to choose one it would be #3. It looks very comfy and so cute. I like how the skirt is tiered and a-line. Again I love all of these!
