Thou crownest the year with thy goodness…” Psalm 65:11a

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

What a year it has been! Two thousand seventeen (even though it’s not over) has been filled with so many blessings, so many good things – little and big. Fun memories, happy tears, new experiences, many, many “firsts” and so much more. Even in the difficult or stressful times God has been good! Although, God is good every year, no matter what!

I sure have a lot to be thankful for this year (and I am sure you do too… so I want to hear about it in the comments!).

This year I am thankful for…

My Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Without Him, I would truly be nothing, I would have no hope. But because of Him I live and move and have my being. He brought me through the bumpy seasons this year, and blessed me beyond reason. In my life He truly has done exceedingly abundantly….

The Word of God. Because of His Word, I am growing, changing, and becoming more of the woman I ought to be. I don’t know what I would do without my Bible. Each day it’s such a blessing to reach for this Holy Book and be fed. I am so thankful to have multiple copies of God’s Holy Word in the King James Version!

My Husband. Oh how I love this man ♥. I thought I truly loved him the day we said “I do”… but little did I know how much love can grow! This man is my best friend, my hero, my leader, my companion. I don’t what I would do without him! Thanks, Love, for all the fun times, the snuggles, the giggles, the belly laughs. Thank you for the special dates, help with the dishes, and all the trips to the bookstore. You’re the best and I love you so ♥

My Family. I’ve been incredibly blessed with loving, godly, and supportive family members – on both sides! It’s so nice to know that are always there for us. They bless us and treat us well in so many ways. I love you all!

Our Home. It’s spacious, it’s warm, and it’s welcoming. Best of all it’s home. This special place to live, for now…. until our lives begin the next chapter. Until then, this place is a blessing, the house we call our own, where we live, we love and we do life together.

My Church. It’s still new, it’s not quite “home” but more and more, I am beginning to love the people, the children, and the ones I now call “friends”. It’s such a blessing to go to a place where I am welcomed and spiritually fed.

Material Blessings. God has given us so much. To some, it may not seem like much, but to us…. well, we know we are blessed. The little luxuries, the conveniences, the things that make our life a little bit easier. Thank you, Lord for the material blessings you given us.

Sunlight. It streams through my windows, it warms my heart, and it fills my soul. So thankful for the blessing of sunlight, and the One who created it and keeps it shining.

Little Things I’m Thankful for…

  • Books to read on our shelves – so many books, ready and waiting to be picked up and read.

  • My Kuerig – which makes me a nice, hot cup of coffee every morning. Just a simple thing, but it’s such a comforting start to my morning, and my day!

  • Our Comforter – which keeps us warm and snug all night long. A blessing many people on this earth don’t have.

  • Chocolate and Peanut Butter – the dynamic duo that never disappoints. They make my days a whole lot sweeter 😉

  • My Crockpot – which cooks our food, keeps it warm, and has it ready and waiting for us so many times.

  • Pictures – of people, sweet memories, and special moments. It’s such a blessing to look back, to re-live, to remember.

  • Candles – they fill my home… everywhere you look, a candle here a candle there. Occasionally, we light them, to fill our home with warmth, and light, and sweet aromas. Especially my favorite, sweet, Sugared Apple… you smell as delicious as you sound!

  • Blankets and pillows – they keep me warm and comfy as I read, and they make such homey decorations. They even remind me that there’s no place like Home, Sweet, Home

We’ve been blessed beyond measure… it’s time to rejoice, to celebrate, and thank the One Who’s blessed us beyond measure!

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!
