Currently I Have Been…

Untitled design (2)

I am having so much fun meeting new people through this blog.  The comments I get as well as the messages on Instagram and Goodreads have been super awesome 🙂  I didn’t create this blog to be all about me and my life but I thought it would be a lot of fun to do a “currently” post so you can get to know me better!  So… here’s what I’ve been up to.

Currently I Have Been…

  • Reading… Lots! I have a bad habit of starting too many books at once. (Can any of you relate??) I’m reading a study book on 1 Peter, a photography book, a writer’s book, a classic, a novel, and another non-fiction book. Not to mention my Bible 🙂
  • Playing… with the baby I watch.  He likes to be chased (he still crawls) around the room and then giggles when I catch him 🙂
  • Watching… football games with my big brother.
  • Trying… to keep my head on straight.
  • Cooking… a couple suppers last week and a new soup recipe today.
  • Eating… too much 🙁 My eating habits are inconsistent even though I want to eat better.
  • Drinking… coffee with milk, stevia, and lots of cinnamon.
  • Calling… no one lately.  I don’t talk on the phone unless absolutely necessary!
  • Texting… random people here and there.  My phone has been pretty silent lately.
  • Pinning… a little bit of everything.  I’m a girl with diverse interests and my pins prove it.
  • Tweeting… Not a whole lot.  Mostly re-tweets from Cary Schmidt or Paul Chappell.
  • Crafting… my to-do lists!
  • Scrapping… nothing.  But my room and possessions need a good purging.  Perhaps some Fall cleaning?
  • Doing…  some planning with friends.  We (some friends and I) have a GIVEAWAY and a challenge planned for you all on Instagram.  They will be announced soon so be sure to follow along!  I am SO excited! 🙂
  • Going… to the library to read and plan out my weeks.
  • Loving… my new reading spot at home 🙂
  • Hating… how messy I’ve been.  Throughout the day my books and possessions get spread throughout the house in an effort to keep them within in my reach but out of the baby’s!
  • Discovering… new things in God’s Word and through prayer.
  • Enjoying… morning walks with the baby.  The cool morning air is so invigorating!
  • Thinking… about faith.  God has been showing me that I need to walk by faith and not by site.
  • Feeling… very tired.  I have been trying to sleep more (I thought) but I still feel behind.  I’m not even a person with loads of responsibilities. Yikes.
  • Hoping (for)… a wonderful October.  Even if it’s busy.
  • Listening (to)… baby giggles, babbles, and a few fusses.
  • Celebrating… life. Little (and big) things mean so much more to me now.  The changing weather, hugs from”my” baby, praying with mom, and time with my family.
  • Smelling… the remaining aroma from dirty diapers, unfortunately.
  • Thanking… God for all He has done and continues to do.
  • Considering… my blog plans.  I want to update this site soon, but I know it will take a lot of time and I don’t know when to start!
  • Finishing… a study on the book of 1 Peter.
  • Starting… to get excited about October.  (Okay, I’m already excited!)  Because of the aforesaid GIVEAWAY and challenge on Instagram… a conference at our church… the retreat at the end of the month… plans with my siblings… and so much more.  I can’t wait!

{I would love to know} What have you been up to?   Share your answer to “Currently I Have Been…” in the comments below 🙂 I love hearing from my readers!

  1. Thanks for the little insight into your life 🙂 I can relate to starting too many books at once!!! So I either read a book really fast so I can read the next one, or start dozens :)) Well, currently I have been preparing for my older brother to move back to the US to start college. I’ve been working on my last year of school, and learning that God will direct my future in a way I can never imagine! I’m hating change, feeling emotional about that, thanking God for His presence, enjoying family time with my siblings, loving Autumn, excited about a new Christmas piano arrangement book I got today, and called my big sis in America last night. A brief overview of what I’ve been doing :))

    1. Thanks for sharing, Olivia 🙂 I can relate to hating change. It was hard at first when both my brothers went off to college. However, they were still in the same country… just different states. It’s nice to know you sometimes read bunches of books at the same time too 🙂

  2. I’m glad that I found your blog! You sound like an awesome person! I would love for you to do a post telling us more about this girl behind the blog, if you haven’t already done one(I still haven’t read through the archives yet)
