3 Steps to a Better Day

3 Steps to a Better Day - Turn your day around with these 3 tips.

One day last week I was having a not-so-great evening.  I was feeling annoyed, almost lost my paycheck, and most of all… I was lacking joy.  It’s hard to be a radiant young woman when you lack joy! All I wanted to do that evening was curl up in bed with a novel and some food (even though I wasn’t hungry).   Which I did.

While I sat reading and munching on a snack I realized that getting lost in a book and eating to feed my emotions, wasn’t the way to turn my evening around.  I knew I needed to search else where if I wanted to end my day the right way.

So this is what I decided to do that evening and the next time I need to have a better day…

3 Steps to a Better Day

1) Find a verse

God’s Word is “chock full” of truths and promises to help us no matter what we are facing.  Find a verse and copy it down.   By writing and meditating on the verse, its truths will reach your heart.  Search God’s Word, find a verse, and think on Truth.

2) Pray for what you need

Do you need strength for the day?  Joy for an unpleasant task?  How about patience with someone or for something?  Maybe you need contentment?  Whatever you need today ask God to help you… and continue to cling to the verse you found!  Ask God for what you need and meditate on His Word.

3) Go do something

After finding a verse and praying it’s time to do something!   If you have a lot to do make a quick to-do list and circle the task that is the most important.  Once that is completed work your way down the rest of the list.  If you don’t have any pressing work to do, consider doing a couple of the following:

  • Go for a walk
  • Do a short workout
  • Text a friend
  • Jot a thank you note
  • Read an inspirational book
  • Drink a cup of tea or coffee
  • Pray for an unsaved friend or relative
  • Make a do-it-yourself project
  • Talk to your mom
  • Write in a notebook or journal
  • Make a simple recipe
  • Drink a tall glass of water
  • Write a letter to someone you love
  • Learn something new
  • Pray for your Pastor
  • Ignore social media
  • Make a list
  • Write down some goals
  • Plan some healthy meals
  • Complete an unfinished project
  • Give someone a hug
  • Find somethings to give or throw away
  • Stretch for five minutes
  • Go to bed early

Just go DO something… you will feel better once you do!

I hope you are encouraged to follow these three steps and have a better day -with God’s help! ♥
