November To-Do List {Monthly Goals}

November To-Do List {Monthly Goals} Fun things to do in the month of November. Personal Growth.

Hey Friends,

Happy November! Can you believe we only have two more months until we welcome a brand new year? It’s hard to believe!

November will be busy because of Thanksgiving and preparations for Christmas, but at the same time, my husband’s work schedule will be slowing down – finally! This month we are looking forward to a couple’s banquet, a visit from my mom, Thanksgiving, choosing our 2nd Christmas tree and decorating our home for the Christmas season! I am so excited for this month – there is always so much to enjoy about each and every month.

November To-Do List {Monthly Goals}

1. Study the Book of Acts

Last month I tried to study both Philippians and Colossians… but honestly? Those two books felt too familiar. It just didn’t work well for me last month. So, I recently started reading in the book of Acts and it was like a breath of fresh air!

For the remainder of this month I will be reading and studying the book of Acts in my KJV Creative Bible. I don’t have any commentaries on the book of Acts, so I plan just to read and study the book on my own.

2. Wake Up Earlier!

Just about every morning, hubby and I are rushing to get out the door on time. This month I want to try getting up just a little bit earlier – even if it’s just ten minutes which would significantly cut back on our rushing!

I also want to wake up earlier so I can make some new and better breakfast recipes – we are getting really tired of eggs and oatmeal!

Do you have any fabulous breakfast ideas? Send them to me here!

3. Finish all Christmas Shopping + Gift Wrapping

Last month I started my Christmas shopping and I’m happy to report that we are over halfway done! Woohoo! I don’t think I have ever been so on top of my Christmas shopping and it feels so good. It’s wonderful to know that I am not behind and we have nice gifts already purchased for most of the people on our list. This month my goal is to finish wrapping all the gifts. I also want to begin making Christmas cookies. 🙂

4. Read Five Books

I need to read exactly ten books in order to reach my 2018 Goodreads Reading Challenge! That means I just need to read five books in November and five in December. Aren’t I so good at math? 😉

I am not exactly sure which books I will choose to read this month, but I do know that Simple Joys by Candace Payne is going to be on my list!

5. Launch a New Product in the Shop!

I am super excited about a new product that is coming to the shop sometime late November/early December. Keep your eyes peeled because something really fun will be coming just in time for Christmas! ♥

6. Host Another Instagram Giveaway

For over a year I avoided using Instagram for my blog. Then, at the beginning of this year I decided to get back on again. It’s been so amazing getting to connect with a lot of new and “old” readers. Giveaways are so much fun but I have only ever done one Instagram giveaway on my account. It’s almost time for another one!

If you’re not already following my blog on Instagram be sure to follow along right here so you don’t miss out on the giveaway!

7. Have Someone Over for Dinner

My husband and I had been inviting one couple or family over to our home once a month. Then, summer came along and our schedules got incredibly busy. We want to get back into the routine of having someone over every month, so this is a high priority for us in November.

At first, being a hostess made me nervous. What should I make for dinner? How will I keep the food hot? Where will we seat everyone?!?

Now, after hosting family and friends, it has gotten so much easier! It’s one of those things where you get better the more you do it. If you haven’t had anyone over to your home in a long time, I would encourage you to reach out and invite someone over – even if it’s just for coffee and snacks. Most likely you will both be blessed by the gesture of kindness and hospitality!

8. Finish Putting Together My Christmas Idea List

Remember my All Things Autumn Idea List on Amazon? Well I’ve been working on a special Christmas list to share with all of you as well! You can check out my ideas lists by clicking on the links below:

Have fun shopping! ♥

Final Thoughts

Well Friends, those are most of my goals for November. There are a few other things I would like to accomplish too – like get our Christmas photos printed and fit in some extra time for exercise (holiday treats are coming!). But now…

I want to know… what are your goals for the month of November? Please share them with me in the comments below!

See you next week!

  1. Love this! I’m getting ready to make my Christmas Idea list as well, only this is a list of things to do with my siblings or special projects/recipes I want to give a try. November is pretty much Christmas prep month for me, lol!

  2. Yay for monthly goals! I love these. Some of mine for this month are: send a thankful surprise box to a friend, write 3 thank-you notes to people in our church, make my Grandma a set of 20 Christmas cards, start daily journaling (already began!), write a hymn arrangement for Thanksgiving, start wrapping Christmas gifts, and reorganize/decorate my bedroom. I’d also like to put up 2 videos on my YouTube channel, including the Thanksgiving arrangement I *plan* on writing. 😉 Can’t wait to see what November will hold — October was full of surprises and dreams come true!
